Since you added this to #Xpose-it I will now provide you with a critique <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>

I love the story behind this image. I pretty much always read the artists comments and I do think they really add something to the piece of art submitted.
HDR-photograpy is something I should still try. What software did you use? Photoshop, I suppose?
in terms of HDR, this image is great; it does indeed contain a high dynamic range xD the sky has a great contrast, the clouds look as if they will float right from the screen into my room. And I don't even have a good monitor.. and the contrastful objects don't have that annoying 'aura' around them, as is seen in many HDR photo's.. or just in the ones I've seen, I don't know xD
the rest of the scene looks beautiful too, I would love to go to Saint Michele someday! It looks a bit like the island Texel in the Netherlands <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>

I've got two points of critique.
First of all, the resolution. I would love to see photo's like this in high definition! there's a slight noise over the picture, and while it's not really disturbing, I'd rather see it without <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt=";)" title=";) (Wink)"/>
secondly, the person on the right looks like he's in the image accidentaly. I know you can't change this now but either put him/her more in the picture, using the rule of thirds (I take it you're familiar with this rule), so putting him 1/3rd of the right and lower corner of the photograph. Or leave him out completely.

the last thing: you used comic sans for your signature *cries*
either use your own handwriting or a better font <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/let…" width="15" height="15" alt=":P" title=":P (Lick)"/>
If you're working in photoshop, try lowering the opacity of your signature-layer, and make it black or white according to the photo you're putting it on. I think it'd look more 'professional' that way. (myself, I don't use signatures at all. my works aren't worth stealing anyway xD)

anyway, I hope I helped you a bit with this critique!
